Security sensors for monitoring server racks

Companies are spending a lot of money and energy in taking security measures on a network level to ensure not only data safety but also to availability of critical systems. Physical security of IT equipment is for often ommitted. Inside a computer room physical security on a room and rack level should be a top priority. The greatest threat for systems availability is caused not only by mistakes of co-workers but also by unauthorized physical access to the systems.

As a vendor for Server Room Monitoring, ServersCheck has created a complete product suite to provide physical security monitoring of server rooms to ensure systems uptime.

ServersCheck's Security Sensors use the same plug and play approach as developer for its environmental sensors. Without any special skills a system or network administrator can connect several sensors to the Physical Security Bus to start monitoring the room and/or server racks.

By adding AXIS network camera's to the solution, the ServersCheck Monitoring Software will start a recording from the specified camera. Recordings are stored on the host computer and can be viewed using software's Security Viewer with a simple Flash enabled web browser.

Physical Security Bus
The ServersCheck Physical Security Bus is the connector between the security sensors and the ServersCheck Monitoring Software. Each bus can host up to 6 different sensors and is connected via ethernet to the network; over tcp/ip it communicates with the software host system. Read more
Security Sensors
Following security sensors can be connected to the Security Bus: movement (PIR), door contact, glass break and smoke. Each sensor comes with a 40 feet / 12 meters cable between sensor and Physical Security Bus. Read more

Camera's
ServersCheck supports AXIS camera's to give you a real time view of your computer room or server rack. Sensors can also trigger the recording of an AXIS camera. Read more

The ServersCheck Monitoring Software release 7.5, or higher, is required to use the above security solution.
